“AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 MINUTES”: the history behind our original giant escape game script
The most exciting challenges of Human History are linked to traveling: great inventions and continents discovery by land, by sea or by air. Thereby along the centuries, mankind had to prove abilities to overcome obstacles et constantly improve performances.
The most famous clever traveller of all was born from French novelist Jules Verne’s imagination. By the way, do you know who we are talking about ? That’s correct, his Name was PHILEAS FOGG. As a result of his inspirational adventures, Our creative team designed an original game script for an outdoor group team-building experience.
Today we revisit together the « Around the World » adventure in a more contemporary fashion and will launch the challenge to succeed in 80 minutes instead of 80 days!
Based on the experience of a traditional indoor Escape Game, we have developped a totally new concept with this outdoor version of the group activity. Insisting on the Team Building aspect, we have adapted the concept to our Corporate Clients.

How to play Around the World in 80 minutes?Â
The story starts at « The Airport » where 8 or 12 teams of participants, depending on your Group Size – gather to receive an activity brief by the Master of Time.
Then, team’s Captains are given a certain number of tools & accessories that will be used (or not! ) during the game.
The journey counts 4 or 6 compulsory destinations such as Los Angeles, Mumbay, Hong-Kong, Dublin. It includes as well bonus transit locations full of surprises. Each « landing » opens to new adventures and funny tests that teams have to pass successfully if they wish to exit. Success allows teams to carry on their journey and eventually win the giant escape game. By the end, the final gathering sees all the group facing one last challenge for a joyful ending and Trophy remittance.
ENTERTAINMENT & TEAMBUILDING DIMENSIONS
This activity has been entirely designed by Activ Provence. Our goal was to provide Corporate groups from 50 to 120 participants with an interesting and fun session while on seminar or professional gathering in France.
The fashionable model of an escape game served as inspiration for this exclusive large group activity. Brainstorming, collective intelligence, light sport dynamic are highlighted by the Phileas Fogg Trophy. It is an adventure full of humour, wit and very entertaining indeed!
